About this Group

The Discussion Group on Trade, Environment and the SDGs (TESS) will support dialogue and information-exchange on trade policy that promotes environment sustainability and advances the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Discussion in the group will focus on strategies, tools and policy options for aligning trade and trade policy with the urgent need for global action on the intersecting crises of climate, nature and pollution, informed by the need for progress on the SDGs.

Policymakers and policy analysts from governments, IGOs, business and NGOs working on the intersection of trade, environment & sustainable development, with a focus on providing a focal point for a diversity of opinions and viewpoints, especially those from developing country analysts and experts are welcome to join this group.

Through this group members have the opportunity to post information on events, research/reports and job openings. Threads of discussion and commentary on recent policy developments in the scope of trade, environment and the SDGs will enrich the group activities.
