At the “Making Data Work: Applying GMP and POPs Inventories for Evidence-Based Policy in NIPs” webinar (30 January 2026), Dr. Vincent O. Madadi of the University of Nairobi presented on Kenya’s experience implementing the Global Monitoring Plan (GMP). 

Organized by the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) as part of the GEF-funded and UNEP-led Global NIP Update Project (GEF ID 10785), the webinar explored how Global Monitoring Plan (GMP) data and POPs inventories can inform evidence-based policymaking in NIPs, with a focus on practical data application, laboratory roles, and governance insights.
