Developed jointly by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and UPM Umwelt-Projekt-Management GmbH, this Training of Trainers (ToT) program aims to enhance understanding of climate-resilient opportunities in the sanitation sector and promote citywide inclusive sanitation (CWIS) principles in Africa. The training underscores the relevance and urgency of integrating climate action into sanitation planning and implementation.

Module 2 - Climate-SMART Sanitation: An Approach 

This presentation introduces the Climate-SMART Sanitation Approach and positions sanitation as both a climate-vulnerable sector and a contributor to climate change, while offering a framework to integrate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience measures into sanitation planning.
