Developed jointly by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and UPM Umwelt-Projekt-Management GmbH, this Training of Trainers (ToT) program aims to enhance understanding of climate-resilient opportunities in the sanitation sector and promote citywide inclusive sanitation (CWIS) principles in Africa. The training underscores the relevance and urgency of integrating climate action into sanitation planning and implementation.
Module 3 - Exercise: Developing Sanitation Project Ideas targeting GCF funding
This interactive exercise challenges participants to develop and present climate-resilient sanitation project ideas targeting Green Climate Fund (GCF) support. Building on the GCF investment criteria and expected outcomes, participants learn how to craft clear, compelling, and fundable project pitches that demonstrate climate impact, innovation, and alignment with GCF priorities. The session strengthens participants’ ability to communicate project concepts effectively to potential financiers and decision-makers
