How can we individually and collectively turn the tide on plastics pollution? What actions are you, or your community taking to reduce plastic pollution? Would you like to know what others are doing? Would you like to start taking action on plastic pollution?

If you want to turn the tide on plastic pollution in SIDS and inspire others, respond to our first ISLANDS Call to Action on Plastics!

To participate you only need to:

  • Join the ISLANDS Plastics Community

  • Share your experience on how you are taking action against plastics pollution in your country. It can be anything, from reducing your daily plastic consumption to joining a coastal clean-up day. Pictures and videos are welcome!

The most inspiring submissions will be featured in the upcoming “ISLANDS Voices” video series and shared with our global network.

Let’s post before the end of the year! Submission after December 31st are welcome, but they will not be considered for the video series.

Implementing Sustainable Low and Non-Chemical Development in Small Island States (ISLANDS) is a programme supporting Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in the Caribbean, Pacific and Indian Ocean to reduce chemicals and waste pollution.

ISLANDS connects and engage people in SIDS around the world though its community of practice on Plastics, E-waste, Used-Oil, End of Life Vehicles, Mercury  and ISLANDS.

We are looking forward to reading your stories on the Green Forum and please reach out to [email protected] should you have any questions!
