The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is seeking to hire a Senior Project Assistant who will support coordination of projects led by Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) within the Climate Action and Inclusive Development (CAID) team as part of the Investment and Policy Solutions Division (IPSD) by contributing to current and future GGKP engagements with its project partner countries and institutions.

The Senior Project Assistant will be responsible for supporting the overall Communication, Coordination and Knowledge Management (CCKM) activities for key stakeholders in country and institutional partners, particularly in APAC regions and time zones.

Engagement
  • Provide support to project partners and stakeholders in joining the Green Forum
  • Coordinate communications with National Implementation Plan (NIP) Update partners and focal points, including organizing the project contact list and preparing regular newsletters/project communications
  • Provide support to GEF ISLANDS in project presentations and graphic requirements in line with the ISLANDS Brand Kit and visibility guideline
  • Assist the team with the production of technical webinars on the GEF ISLANDS and NIP Update projects, including the organization of delivery of virtual events and meetings, preparation of meeting minutes, and follow-up actions if needed
  • Maintain productive relationship with project partners and beneficiary institutions
Delivery
  • Support the development of a NIP Update Project Community Engagement Plan and assist in the delivery of community engagement activities
  • Establish, coordinate and moderate NIP Update community group on the Green Forum, GGKP’s online community space
  • Support the production of knowledge products, including summarizing, content generation and visualization for use on ISLANDS Initiative platform, and NIP Update Project initiative page
  • Identify knowledge to be included on the NIP Update initiative page
  • Execute and monitor  project activity progress in line with project workplans
  • Consolidated financial and administrative documentation for projects for accurate project reporting
  • Other tasks as deemed necessary to achieve the project objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with areas of study in business, international studies, public policy or other fields with green growth or international cooperation elements preferred. An advanced degree is a plus
  • Preferably 2-3 years of accumulated work experience closely aligned with performance of tasks of this position, including at regional or international levels
  • Experience working with government and institutional partners (international organizations, national and regional institutions, etc.)
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Professional-level proficiency with standard Office software required. Familiarity with other design or IT tools is a plus
  • Experience or familiarity in green growth topics, particularly in one or more of GGGI’s Thematic Strategies areas is a plus
