The tasks under this consultancy will ultimately contribute to the effective development and implementation of the Brazil’s Circular Economy Strategy:

- Lead the preparation of a stock-taking report on existing legal and normative frameworks as well as the uptake of circular business practices in Brazil, in close cooperation with academia and other relevant stakeholders as required.

- Compile relevant international best practices and lessons learned from the Latin America and the Caribbean region and other regions.

- Conduct a mapping of relevant global, regional and national initiatives which can serve to accelerate the transition from a linear to circular economy in Brazil.

- Identify and engage relevant stakeholder groups in Brazil.

- Liaise with leads of relevant UNEP initiatives and workstreams in relation to the circular economy transition in Brazil.

- Lead the organization of stakeholder engagement meetings, including with relevant Ministries, industry representatives, academia, civil society and other groups as relevant. - Prepare and disseminate communication materials, as required.

- Lead the preparation of a plan of action for the development of a National Circular Economy Strategy in Brazil.

- Lead the planning and organization of events and meetings, as required.
