Asia and the Pacific depend heavily on nature—53% or $18 trillion of the region’s economy is tied to ecosystem goods and services. Yet, rapid economic growth has taken a toll, contributing to the triple planetary crisis: biodiversity loss, pollution, and climate change.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) along with partners will tackle these challenges through the Environment Action Plan 2024-2030 (EAP) being launched at COP29 in Baku. The EAP provides a roadmap to scale up nature-positive investments across three pillars:
? Biodiversity and ecosystem management
? Pollution management and circular economy
? Nature-based climate solutions
