Two years ago business magnate Richard Branson launched a competition to cut the carbon impact of residential cooling to 1/5 of today's standard. Now we have the result - the Global Cooling Prize awards $1 million split to two winners who design AC that shaves energy, reduces global warming, and is more affordable and eco-friendly. The question is, can we really afford it?
