Catalyzing Green Entrepreneurship and Climate Tech for Sustainable and Inclusive Development

27 OCT 2025
Seoul

This session will explore how green entrepreneurship and climate technology can be leveraged for sustainable and inclusive economic development. The discussion will primarily focus on bridging the gap between innovation and investment to accelerate climate tech entrepreneurship in developing economies, including LDCs.

The session will examine why green entrepreneurship is vital for sustainable development, as it drives green job creation, builds economic resilience, and helps countries meet their climate targets.

Participants will gain insights into proven strategies for fostering climate tech innovation, such as de-risking early-stage investments, strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems, and creating supportive policy frameworks.

The session would also highlight how technology-driven solutions are not just about large-scale projects but also about local innovation and entrepreneurship that addresses the specific needs of vulnerable populations in LDCs.

It will focus on funding micro-enterprises, particularly those led by women and youth. The session will also serve as a platform for sharing knowledge on green entrepreneurship among countries and partners.

After the knowledge sharing session, there will be a brief MOU signing ceremony with NH to formalize the collaboration and partnership among the executive entities for the GCF-funded project, “Collaborative R&DB Programme for Promoting the Innovation of Climate Technopreneurship."
