How might faculty embed sustainability knowledge and skills into existing curricula and courses, equipping students with awareness of sustainability issues and preparing them to become sustainability drivers in the future workforce? And how might university leaders and staff advance an institution-wide focus on sustainability through policies, strategies, training and support? What are the good practice examples?

Serge MEDJO_ETOUNKO commented on STELLA TSANI's Post in Green Learning Network

Dear group members,
?I am happy to inform you that I am one of three finalists shortlisted for the European Sustainable Energy Awards 2025 in the Woman in Energy category.

?Please vote in the following link with one single click, no registration required: https://interactive.eusew.eu/awards/woman-in-energy/stella-tsani.

Please share with your network! Many thanks in advance for your support!

A few words about the award and the GY-Energy network nomination:
?‍?In a community that offers many technical and technological solutions for sustainable energy, I am happy to contribute with socio-economic research, training and educational innovations that engage people with the sustainability transition, making them ambassadors of change. This is particularly important for younger generations that are the most affected by the energy transition. The Generation Youth Energy (GY-Energy) network that I have initiated as part of my Energy and Resource Economics module taught at the Department of Economics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens aims to raise awareness, representation and participation of students at all levels, in matters related to national, regional, European and global energy and resource management policies and developments. The network positions that the ongoing energy and sustainability transition cannot be met in the absence of youth involvement, tailored education and job opportunities.

The European Sustainable Energy Week is the biggest annual event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. The event brings together public authorities, industry, NGOs and consumers to promote initiatives accelerating decarbonisation through green technologies and solutions towards a fair and just transition for people and competitive businesses.

Kind regards,
Stella
