On 4 October 2024 (14:00 CEST), the Global Framework on Chemicals (GFC) Secretariat and the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) are hosting a community of practice discussion on the Global Framework on Chemicals Fund.
The discussion will provide an overview of the Fund's objectives and the application process for the first round of funding, which will be launched on 1 October 2024. The Fund will provide financial assistance to projects and programmes that aim to create transformative change by preventing or minimizing the harm caused by chemicals and waste.
It offers financial support ranging from US$300,000 to US$800,000, with an implementation period of up to three years. Eligible applicants include governments from developing countries, Small Island Developing States, countries with economies in transition, and civil society networks subject to an agreement with their respective governments. Regional and multi-country applications are also encouraged.
